About Emily.
Emily doesn’t teach a regular mat Pilates class. She teaches a strength class that moves like one.
With a decade of fitness experience rooted in strength training and two years of specialized Pilates education, Emily has built a methodology entirely her own — one where the precision of mat and reformer Pilates meets the intentionality of progressive weight training, creating a class experience that is both fluid and powerfully effective.
Her approach is built on the principles of progressive overload, muscular endurance, and working to failure — giving clients a measurable framework to track, build, and own their strength over time. Classes are designed with an advanced foundation while remaining accessible through thoughtful modifications, ensuring every body is challenged at the right level.
What sets Emily’s training apart is the seamless fusion of rhythmic movement and resistance work. Familiar Pilates sequences are elevated with weighted integration, creatively stacked equipment, and a flow that keeps the body engaged from start to finish — structured like a strength session, felt like a Pilates class.
Emily has led reformer classes at STRONG Pilates Australia and currently instructs in a heated mat environment at Torched Pilates, both based in New York. Whether you’re stepping into the heat or onto the mat expect to be pushed, supported, and reminded of what your body is truly capable of.
My Approach
Being a student of my own craft, I am constantly taking group fitness classes. Finding inspiration amongst other instructors and delving deeper into the fitness world; a big passion of mine. I always found myself leaving classes feeling like I could have done MORE. Which is what lead to this passion project, Form + Force. Weightlifting will always be my first love, and it is so important to me to be able to inform those around me the importance of strength training for overall longevity. So, I integrated a large part of weight training within my classes. I introduced the combination of different props to imitate movements you would perform in a gym setting, practicing progressive overload and even working until failure!
